Version 1.0, effective 11 October 2026. This license applies to kits bought on orbifex.studio. Kits bought on Fab are governed by Epic’s Fab licenses instead.
1. Who this is between
This agreement is between R INVEST (societe par actions simplifiee (SAS), RCS Bobigny 912 713 682), trading as Orbifex (“we”, “us”), and the person or company that buys a kit (“you”).
By downloading or using a kit, you accept this license. If you are buying for a company, you confirm that you may accept it on that company’s behalf.
2. Words we use
- Assets — the 3D meshes, textures, materials, maps, project files and documentation in a kit, in every format we deliver (Unreal Engine project, GLB, FBX).
- Kit — one product on this store, with everything in its download.
- Your Product — anything you make that includes Assets: a game, application, film, animation, image, VR or AR experience, architectural visualization, or marketing material for one of those.
- Merged — included in Your Product in a form that does not let an end user extract the Assets as usable 3D files. A packaged game is merged; a folder of .fbx files shipped next to it is not.
3. What you may do
We grant you a non-exclusive, worldwide, perpetual, non-transferable license to:
- use, copy and store the Assets internally, on as many of your own machines as you need;
- modify, retexture, rescale, combine and derive new work from the Assets;
- include the Assets, modified or not, merged into Your Product, and distribute, sell, license or publish Your Product commercially, with no cap on units, revenue or platforms;
- show the Assets in images, videos, streams, trailers, store pages and press material for Your Product, and in your portfolio;
- use the Assets in work you deliver to a client, provided the Assets reach that client merged into Your Product. If the client needs the kit itself, the client buys their own license.
No credit is required. We are always glad to see one.
4. The two tiers
The tier is set by the yearly gross revenue of the buying entity, counting the whole group it belongs to. It is the same rule Fab uses, so that the same kit costs the same wherever you get it.
- Standard — for an individual or an entity with less than USD 100,000 of gross revenue in its last financial year. Everything in section 3 applies.
- Professional — for an entity at or above USD 100,000. Everything in section 3 applies, and the license covers the entity, its subsidiaries, and the employees and contractors working on its projects.
Buy the tier that matches you at the time of purchase. If you cross the threshold later, the license you already bought stays valid for the projects it is already in; new projects take the Professional tier. If you are not sure which applies, write to support@orbifex.studio and we will tell you plainly.
5. What you may not do
- Resell or redistribute the Assets as assets — alone, renamed, modified, converted to another format, repacked, or inside an asset pack, template, marketplace listing, library, plugin, game engine template, NFT or dataset. The value of what you sell must not be the Assets themselves.
- Share your download with anyone outside your licensed entity, including on a public repository, a file-sharing service or a shared drive open beyond your team.
- Train machine-learning models on the Assets, or use them to create, fine-tune or evaluate a generative model, or include them in a training dataset.
- Register the Assets — or anything substantially derived from them — as a trademark, logo or design right, and do not claim authorship of the Assets themselves.
- Use the Assets in an unlawful product, or one that promotes hatred against a group of people, or one that depicts minors in a sexual context.
- Remove or alter the license files in a kit, or sublicense the Assets except as section 3 allows.
6. Who owns what
We keep all copyright and all other rights in the Assets. You own Your Product and the original work you add to it, including your own modifications of the Assets, but your ownership of a modification does not give you any right in the underlying Asset.
7. AI models and third-party components
The props in our kits are created with AI models, and we name them on each kit’s page and in its documentation. The models we use are licensed for commercial use — currently FLUX.2 [klein] 4B (Apache 2.0) and TRELLIS.2 (MIT). Our modular building pieces are modeled procedurally and are not generated.
We grant you the rights in section 3 on that basis. Where a kit includes a component under a third-party license, that license travels with the kit, and its text is in the download.
8. Updates, and how long a kit stays available
When we publish a corrected or extended version of a kit you bought, your download gives you the new version at no extra cost, for as long as we keep the kit on sale. If we retire a kit, your license does not expire: keep your own copy of the files. Download links are kept live for at least 24 months after purchase, and in practice for as long as the store runs.
9. If this license ends
The license ends if you break section 5 and do not fix it within 30 days of us telling you. If it ends, you stop using the Assets and delete your copies — but Your Product that was already published stays licensed, so you never have to pull a shipped game off a store because of us.
10. Warranty
We make our kits with care and we test them in Unreal Engine before release. Beyond that, the Assets are provided “as is”: we do not promise that a kit fits a particular project, works with a particular plugin or engine version other than the one stated, or runs within a particular performance budget. Each kit’s page states the engine version it is built for.
11. Liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability under this license is limited to the amount you paid for the kit, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profit, lost data or project delay. We do not exclude liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything else that cannot be excluded by law.
12. Your rights as a consumer
If you buy as a consumer, nothing in this license removes the rights your own law gives you, including the statutory guarantees of conformity and, for a digital kit, the right of withdrawal and the way it is waived — all of which are set out on our Refunds & Withdrawal page.
13. Law and jurisdiction
This license is governed by French law, and disputes go before the competent French courts. If you are a consumer, you keep the right to bring a claim before the courts of your own country of residence, and the consumer-protection law of that country continues to apply wherever it is more favourable to you.
14. Questions
support@orbifex.studio. If something in this license blocks a legitimate use of a kit you bought, write to us: we would rather grant it in writing than have you guess.
