Refunds & Withdrawal

Version 1.0, effective 11 October 2026. Read with our Terms of Sale.

Digital kits cannot be sent back, so this page says plainly what you keep, what you give up at checkout, and what we refund anyway because it is the right thing to do.

1. Your right of withdrawal, and what happens to it

If you buy as a consumer in the European Union, the law gives you 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract, without giving a reason.

For digital content delivered immediately, that right ends as soon as delivery begins — but only if three things are true, and we make sure all three are:

  1. you asked expressly for immediate access to the download;
  2. you acknowledged that by asking for it you lose your right of withdrawal;
  3. we confirmed both to you on a durable medium — your order confirmation e-mail says it, with the date.

That is why checkout asks you to tick a box that is never pre-ticked:

I ask for immediate access to my download, and I acknowledge that I will lose my right of withdrawal once the download is made available to me.

(Legal basis: Article 16(m) and Article 8(7) of Directive 2011/83/EU; in France, Article L221-28, 13° of the Consumer Code.)

If you do not tick it, we cannot deliver immediately. Write to us and we will hold the order for the 14 days instead.

2. We refund an untouched order anyway

Losing the right of withdrawal is not a reason to keep money for a kit you never opened. So, as our own policy, on top of the law:

If you have not downloaded the kit, we refund you in full within 14 days of purchase. Just ask.

We can check this honestly, because the store records every download. No download, no questions.

3. If the kit is faulty, you are covered regardless

The legal guarantee of conformity applies to digital content. If a kit does not match what its page describes — a missing or corrupt file, an archive that will not extract, a kit that does not open in the engine version stated, an asset that is not the one shown — then:

  1. write to support@orbifex.studio with your order number and what you saw;
  2. we reproduce it, then repair or replace the kit, at no cost to you;
  3. if we cannot, you get a full refund, and you keep nothing you have to delete in a hurry.

This has no 14-day limit. It is your statutory right, and we do not shorten it.

4. When we do not refund

Once a kit is downloaded, and it is the kit its page describes, we do not refund for:

  • the kit not matching your art direction, your style or your taste;
  • a performance budget that does not suit your target platform — every kit page states its triangle counts, LODs and texture sizes before you buy;
  • the engine version: an Unreal project built for 5.8 does not open in 5.7, and the page says so. The GLB and FBX files are there for other engines;
  • a change of mind about a project, or a kit bought by accident and already downloaded;
  • “I found it cheaper elsewhere”.

If you are between two kits, or unsure one fits, ask us first: support@orbifex.studio. We will tell you if it does not.

5. Duplicate and mistaken purchases

Bought the same kit twice, or bought on this store a kit you already own from Fab? Write to us with both order references. If the second one is not downloaded, we refund it in full. If it is, we will still look at it — tell us what happened.

6. How a refund is made

  • Ask at support@orbifex.studio, with your order number.
  • We reply within two working days, and we say yes or no with a reason.
  • A refund goes back to the original payment method, through Stripe, for the full amount including tax. We take no fee.
  • Stripe usually shows it within 5 to 10 working days; the delay after that is your bank’s.
  • Your license to the kit ends with the refund, and your download links are revoked.

7. Chargebacks

If something is wrong, write to us first — we answer, and a refund is faster than a chargeback. A chargeback raised without contacting us costs us a fee and gets your download links suspended while the bank decides.

8. Model withdrawal form

For a contract where the right of withdrawal still applies (that is, where you did not ask for immediate access), you may use this form. You do not have to.

To R INVEST, 8 rue Isaac Newton, 93150 Le Blanc-Mesnil, France, support@orbifex.studio: I hereby give notice that I withdraw from my contract of sale for the following digital content: …………………… Ordered on: …………… · Order number: …………… Name: …………… · Address: …………… · Date: ……………

We refund within 14 days of receiving it, by the same payment method.

9. If our answer does not satisfy you

Write to us again and say what is still wrong: we answer every message, and we would rather fix a problem than win an argument. If we still cannot agree, you may bring the matter before the competent courts — see Law and disputes in our Terms of Sale.
